Trevor and I awoke early so that we could catch the eight o’clock morning bus to Shala-Ghat. The walk along the metal road to where we thought the cave entrance was only took us about half an hour. Unfortunately when we got there the cave or what we thought was the cave turned out to be just a small, dark and slimly rock shelter.
The rest of the day was spent just wandering about and eventually circling back onto the main road about two and a half miles further along from where we originally turned off.
We returned to camp rather disappointed and a little more so when Mick told us that he had had no luck with the cave up the valley at the back of the camp.
The weather was warm and sunny all day.
